Jamie is an associate in the Regina office.

Jamie is an associate in the Regina office and maintains a general practice with an interest in family law, child protection, estate planning and administration, and civil litigation.

 

Prior to law school, Jamie received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the University of Regina where she majored in International Studies. In addition to her BA (Hons), Jamie received a Certificate in German Language and a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Innovation. One of her favourite experiences was a study tour in Hunan, China where she studied Chinese language and culture.

 

Jamie left Saskatchewan in 2019 to attend law school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. After her first year of law school, Jamie interned at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)’s Protection Unit in Ottawa. Following that, Jamie developed an interest in family law while enrolled for the 2020-21 academic year as a student caseworker at the Queen’s Family Law Clinic (QFLC). She enjoyed assisting family law litigants navigate the complexities of Family Court and was awarded the Nathens, Siegel LLP Scholarship, the class prize for the highest grade in the QFLC academic program. After that she continued to assist self-represented litigants in other roles at the QFLC, including summer caseworker and student mentor.

 

In 2021, Jamie spent her final semester of law school on exchange at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She finished her Juris Doctor requirements a semester early and stayed in the Netherlands to complete her Masters of Laws in International Human Rights Law (Cum Laude). Jamie joined McKercher LLP in 2022 as an articling student and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2023.
