Samantha is an associate in the Saskatoon office. She practices primarily in the area of family law, and also has experience in health law. Samantha completed her Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology (with High Honours) in 2011. She went on to attend the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor (with Distinction) in 2014. Samantha articled with McKercher LLP in 2014 and joined the firm as an associate in 2015.
As a member of the firm’s Family Law practice group, Samantha handles matters relating to divorce, parenting, child support, spousal support, family property division, and Interspousal Agreements including Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Separation Agreements, and Cohabitation Agreements. She has appeared successfully before the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan. Samantha believes very strongly in alternative dispute resolution which results in satisfactory settlements as an alternative to the emotionally-charged and costly adversarial Court process. Samantha proudly offers clients a variety of alternative dispute resolution options. She is a certified Collaborative lawyer and trained mediator.
Samantha was raised in Saskatoon. She has volunteered with SWITCH, Pro Bono Students Canada, Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon’s Inner City (CLASSIC), the Royal University Hospital’s Women Leading Philanthropy, and is a member of the Children’s Hospital Jeans and Jewels Gala Committee. Samantha is passionate about children’s health and is a proud supporter of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and, in particular, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where her daughter spent her first 88 days of life.
Samantha lives in Saskatoon with her husband, Dustin, and their daughter, Georgia. When she is not at the office, you can find her spending time with family, teaching spin classes at Ryde YXE, or traveling.
