Marie is a partner in the Saskatoon office where she focuses on general civil litigation.
With a general civil litigation practice, Marie assists clients in many areas including labour and employment law, human rights, education law, professional defence litigation, construction litigation and corporate and commercial litigation. Marie regularly counsels clients on work place policy development and review, compliance with employment standards, employment agreements, severance, accommodation issues, occupational health and safety, and grievances under collective bargaining agreements. She has assisted clients involved in shareholder disputes and partnership disputes. She has been involved in major construction dispute matters.
Marie has assisted clients at all levels of court in Saskatchewan and at various arbitration and other administrative hearings. She has been involved in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada and written materials for consideration by the Supreme Court of Canada.
Marie provides pro bono legal assistance through Pro Bono Students Canada University of Saskatchewan as a volunteer supervising lawyer. She is also active in the community; she currently sits on the Board of Governors of St. Thomas More College and the Saskatoon Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
