Lorne is a Partner in the Saskatoon office with the Indigenous Practice Group.
Lorne’s experience includes Indigenous governance, First Nations land management, Partnerships, Project development, and Child & Family Services policy and legislation. His practice centres on the areas of Indigenous Governance and Economic Development, Corporate/Commercial, Employment, Estates and Real Estate Law and has advised First Nations and their related entities, renewable energy developers, non-profits and large corporations. Lorne is called to both the Saskatchewan and Manitoba Bar.
Lorne previously completed a Clerkship with the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan (2016). He is a prior recipient of the Aboriginal Community Award from the Indigenous Student Council (University of Saskatchewan) in 2015, an Aboriginal Achievement Award from the Indigenous Student Council (University of Saskatchewan) in 2012, and the M.J. Coldwell Award in Canadian Affairs from the University of Saskatchewan, 2012. He has worked as a sessional lecturer with the College of Environment and Sustainability (University of Saskatchewan) since 2022.
Lorne is a member of the Pine Creek First Nation in Manitoba. Outside of the office, he is interested in sports, travelling, reading, and working with youth in the community. He also enjoys volunteering and has given various presentations throughout the city on legal rights, newcomer rights, and historical issues. Lorne is a Board Member for BGC Saskatoon (formerly Boys & Girls Club of Saskatoon).
