Gord is an of counsel lawyer in the McKercher LLP Saskatoon office.

Gordon Wyant, KC, returns to McKercher LLP after serving 14 years in the Saskatchewan legislature. Gord’s practice will continue to focus on the same areas as in his previous 25 years at McKercher LLP: corporate and commercial transactions, and insolvency.

Gord served in several roles as an MLA including Deputy Premier, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Minister of Education, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Power Corporation, and Deputy House Leader. 

During his time at McKercher LLP from 1986 to 2012, Gord served as Chair of the Saskatoon Public School Board, as well as 7 years on Saskatoon City Council.

Gord earned his Bachelor of Law in 1986 from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in 1985.  He was honoured with a Queen’s Council designation in 2008.
