Collin is a partner at the Saskatoon office with experience in construction contracts, tendering, construction litigation and dispute resolution, security enforcement, and professional discipline.
Collin’s practice and legal experience includes advice to and legal representation of provincial and national corporations, provincial and municipal governments, boards of education, financial institutions, and professionals in the areas of dispute resolution, construction, professional negligence and misconduct, and insolvency. He has particular experience in advising on construction contracts, tendering, construction litigation and dispute resolution, security enforcement, and professional discipline and conduct matters. He became a partner with McKercher LLP in 2005. He was honoured with a Queen’s Counsel appointment in 2016.
Collin also has extensive experience and background with constitutional separate school rights and was lead counsel for the separate school division in Saskatchewan v Good Spirit School Division No. 204.
Collin has appeared before the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench, the Federal Court of Canada, the Tax Court of Canada, and various federal and provincial administrative and professional tribunals.
Collin is also active in the legal community. He has been a presenter at various seminars and conferences on topics such as choosing a project delivery model for construction projects, builders’ lien issues, and conflicts of interest. He has been a member of the Saskatchewan Bar since 1998 and Past Chair for the National Construction and Infrastructure Law section of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a past president of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. Collin has published several papers and articles, particularly in the construction area and has updated and co-authored the Second and Third Editions of the Saskatchewan Builders’ Lien Manual.
Outside the practice of law, Collin has served on the Corman Park Board of Police Commissioners as a member and as chair and on his Hamlet Board. He has four very busy children, and he volunteers and takes part in their activities.

Collin was inducted as a Fellow in the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers in 2021 and was selected as a Charter Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
Collin has been “Repeatedly Recommended” in the areas of Arbitration and Construction Law and is listed in the 2024 Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory.
Collin has recently been ranked again in the 2025 edition of Chambers Canada Legal Guide. He is ranked Band 3 for Litigation: General Commercial.
