Mackenzie Infant Care Centres (MICC) has been providing fully funded high quality childcare in a safe, caring, nurturing and inclusive environment to the children of our young parents since 1986. MICC is a young parent program for teens aged 14-22 who need to finish their high school education. Their program is comprehensive by offering supports to young parents to allow them to continue their education, learn about child development, care and parenting, providing nutritious meals for parents and children, and offering transportation to help get parents to school. The acceptance of the McKercher LLP Community Fund 2024 grant has aided MICC to break down barriers that their parents and families face regarding transportation, food insecurities, and family support. It also went towards enhancing the environments and centres for their clients and families.

Community engagement is central to McKercher LLP’s history. For nearly 100 years, we have supported charitable initiatives that uplift local, provincial, and national communities. In 2023, our firm further strengthened this commitment by launching the McKercher LLP Community Fund—an initiative that invests in projects aligned with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Education & Literacy, and Community Development. Through this fund, we foster opportunities, strengthen communities, and inspire future volunteers, all rooted in our Prairie Pride. Serving Saskatchewan means giving back in the places where we live and work.
