It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert H. McKercher, KC, one of the esteemed namesakes of McKercher LLP. Robert was not only a visionary leader but also a compassionate mentor and a dedicated advocate for justice.

Robert joined his brother, Donald, at the firm in 1961, then known as Maguire Wedge McKercher & McKercher, with a mission to provide exceptional legal services and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Over the years, the firm continued to build on that legacy of excellence, guiding future generations of lawyers, and was officially renamed McKercher LLP in 2008.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert was known for his unwavering commitment to the community, touching the lives of many with his generosity and kindness. He inspired all who had the privilege of working with him, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts and minds.

As we mourn the loss of Robert, we also celebrate his remarkable life and the enduring impact he had on our firm, the legal community, and Saskatchewan. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to honour his memory through our work.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his loving wife, Peggy, his family, friends, colleagues, and all who were touched by his extraordinary life.
