Shannon Metivier is a member of the Firm’s Insurance Practice Group in the Saskatoon office. Her experience in the Insurance Law area spans over 14 years. She has represented insurance companies with respect to coverage issues and on insurance defence matters -- professional negligence, property claims, personal injury and product liability.

Shannon is experienced in alternate dispute resolution and encourages clients to access mandatory and private mediation or arbitration as a means of bringing a matter to a conclusion where possible. As a trial lawyer, she has litigated cases in the Court of Queen's Bench, both jury and non-jury, and the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal.

Shannon is committed to continuing legal education and has presented on civil litigation topics at seminars for the Saskatchewan Legal Education Society Inc. and the Canadian Bar Association. She has also been a facilitator and presenter at several seminars organized for clients and the insurance industry.

In addition to her legal work, Shannon has an active life at home with her husband and three children. Her current community involvement includes being Secretary of the Lawson Heights Community Association.

She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992 and has been a partner with the Firm since 2003.
