JOHN R. BECKMAN, Q.C.

John Beckman, Q.C. was called to the Bar in 1977, admitted as a Partner in 1980, and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987.

Mr. Beckman has an extensive experience acting as Counsel in complex commercial and contractual disputes, Professional Negligence, Labour Law, Tax and First Nations Litigation.

He has appeared as Counsel before numerous Arbitration Boards, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Saskatchewan, the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. 

In addition, Mr. Beckman has appeared as Counsel before the Saskatoon Police Commission, the Saskatchewan Police Commission, the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Commission, the International Trade Tribunal, and the Indian Claims Commission. 

Represented clients would include Wal-Mart Canada Corp., Deloitte, the University of Saskatchewan and the Cameco Corporation.
