Dick Batten’s practice focuses on Corporate Governance and Finance, Landlord and Tenant Law, Intellectual Property Licensin and Taxation. A significant portion of his practice has included representation of universities, school boards and Catholic School Trustees with respect to Education Law and Constitutional matters.

Dick joined the partnership in 1981 and is a senior partner in the Firm's Saskatoon office.

Dick earned a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) in Economics and Political Science in 1973, a Bachelor of Commerce, in Economics in 1974, and his Bachelor of Laws in 1977, all from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dick has been active in the Saskatoon business community serving on a number of boards of directors and advising various non-profit organizations serving the community. As chair of the Saskatoon Downtown Business Improvement District, he represented the business community in property and business tax assessment reform.
